DESCRIPTION:The Washington-Wilkes Annual Christmas Parade of Lights lets us know Christmas is not far away. Now in its 7th year\, this fun and festive event has become a much-looked-forward-to part of our town's holiday celebration.\n\n \n\nThe parade will begin its journey onto Robert Toombs Avenue from South Pecan Street around 6 PM. From there\, it will travel through the Downtown\, past The Square and ending at the Pope Center on Lexington Avenue.\n\n \n\nIn case of inclement weather a judgment call will be made to reschedule and relayed to local TV\, radio stations and social media 3 hours prior.\n\n \n\nTo participate in the parade\, you can download a Parade Application or stop by the Chamber of Commerce at 22B West Square.
