Mule Day Festival

About Us

Join us as we celebrate our 43rd Annual Mule Day Festival, Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024 at Callaway Plantation.

Mule Day looks back at some of the heritage skills and crafts of early 1800s rural farm life while having fun and celebrating the original tractor, the MULE. Fun fact - at one time, Wilkes County was home to over 9000 mules!

At Mule Day, you’ll find Fun Mule Demonstrations * Sheep Dog Herding Demonstrations * Live Music * Blacksmithing * Wood Work * Quilting * Food Trucks * Art & Craft vendors and a whole lot more.
