About Us

The Washington Woman’s Club meets at noon on the second Monday of each month from September through May.

The Spring Tour of Homes is our one major fundraiser, co-sponsored with The Kiwanis Club.

We present the following scholarships annually: The John Duggan Memorial Scholarship, Nettles-Dillard Scholarship and Miss Wilkes County Pageant Scholarship.

Throughout the year, we make various contributions to local organizations such as Animal Shelter, Cancer Relief Fund, 4-H and Salvation Army just to name a few.

The Washington Women’s Club house is available to rent for events (non-alcohol only) such as: family reunions, wedding receptions and/or rehearsal dinners, business luncheons, birthday parties and private parties.

The Club’s house is truly a southern experience; built in the 1780’s with heart pine flooring, beautiful chandeliers and mantels that make it the perfect setting for any those special events. It also includes a fully equipped kitchen, ice maker and can accommodate up to 100 for seating or buffet type events.
