The citizens of Washington and I want to welcome you and your family to our town. We have a progressive and safe community. We take pride in our history and heritage and are always looking for growth that will benefit Washington-Wilkes.

The City of Washington is located 90 miles east of Atlanta and centrally located between Athens and Augusta - both are a short 45-minute drive away.

The most important asset that we have in Washington is our citizens. You will find true southern hospitality in our community. I would describe our citizens as hard working individuals that take pride in our community, and always helping others. They will be very helpful in offering information about our City and assisting you as you explore our City.
